Gettin' Hitched!

Well, mostly everyone knows that Mr. S and I are F-I-N-A-L-L-Y engaged, which is so exciting (and stressful)!  He proposed on November 5th during our trip to New York right on the steps of the NY library!  For an English major and book nerd, that was probably the cutest place he could have ever picked.  We didn't realize for a while that it was also Guy Fawkes day, which is also perfect for my anglophile self.

Before you ask: no, we don't have any plans yet.  I'm almost done with the registries so that I can finish a website.  A local friend just picked up photo as a hobby, so we're going to help her build a portfolio and I'm very excited to finally get some pictures of us that I didn't take with a tripod.

My good friend C really wants to see the ring, but I didn't want to be "that girl" who posts all these things on her facebook, so I'm going to post them here.  He went a little bit crazy...I would have just been happy with a cracker-jack ring, but, well, it speaks for itself:
