I want to be a Coffee Bean

A friend got a new blog and when I was typing in the url I misspelled it. In doing so, I chanced upon a little cheesy story that resonated with me, especially today. I couldn't copy and paste it so I have to link to the blog. I really enjoyed it. I had a very horrible day yesterday triggered by seeing a "haunt" at the library. Just a glance of this person brought back the nightmares I had for a good year after a bad living experience. Full force nightmares all night last night, but that's better than every night. Truth be told I'm still not right from it and I don't trust people very well anymore. I have only now just begun to go out in public and try to make new friends. Anyways, I'm not going into all that, but I'm refusing to be an egg...and I'm trying really hard to be coffee beans. Basically.

Real Pain For My Sham Friends

It is obvious by my recent facebook statuses that I am desperate for some new friends in town. For a while I went down a path that led me to...well...stupid. People incapable of being serious, people I hang out with that I don't really know much about, and when I finally learned things about them I didn't really like what I saw. So I'm on a mission, an epic quest, if you will, to find new friends that aren't fake friends or at least friends that can have deep conversation, kind of like my English friends. I really heart them for their brains...did that make me sound like a zombie?

My policy of life has always been to surround myself with brilliant people because I learn from other's opinions. I learn most from other people and the stimulation they bring. If I don't have that I dry up mentally. Since my whole life until now has been built around my brain, I just can't let that happen.

I've spent this whole summer trying to get back some of my zeal for school and I'm so terrified of this next school year. It could make or break me. I'm hoping my classic stubborn streak raises its fabulous head. I'm not a Taurus for nothing, babe.

I Like To Showcase Talent When I See It:

(Image Property of Caitlin's Designs)

I just wanted to give my friend Caitlin some double exposure for her AMAZING monograms. I'm so pleased that she has a website up and running for it, and I wish her the best of luck making this a lucrative endeavor! She has quite a natural talent for color, pattern, and style and her designs are simply gorgeous! She already has a very wide selection of styles!

Check out the website for Caitlin's Designs to see all of her amazing outlines, and while your surfing around take a look at the Planning Blog she has for her wedding to hear about it in her own words (No worries Caitlin, James doesn't even know my blog). Her wedding is sure to be the social highlight of my year and I cannot wait!

I have also already booked her for a few years from now: as should you.

Amusing.

My BFF cracks me up. We were musing about weddings, as we are often known to do, and we got talking about wedding organizational planners when she says to me:

"we can get them and hide them under our beds like porn!"

Sad times when you have to hide your extreme desire to tie the knot. Well, it isn't really a secret, just freaks out the beaus.

We hold the opinion that they should get over it.

My BFF

Should get a blog...

I'm shameless, I know.

But I've been updating this thing like crazy lately.

Heck I'll even set it up for her!
